Some people do not realize that the Walt Disney World resort has so much to offer beyond the theme parks and resort hotels. In fact, Disney has a massive shopping and entertainment district called Disney Springs (although some fans remember it as Downtown Disney and probably still refer to it as such).
Disney Springs has everything from an AMC theatre to popular dining options like Wine Bar George, Polite Pig, Raglan Road, Homecomin‘, and Paddlefish. The kids will love T-Rex. Don’t forget to save room for dessert and enjoy cookies, cakes, and coffee at Gidon’s Bakehouse or DOLE Whip flights at Swirls on the Water.

And of course, there is plenty to explore if you love shopping. Disney Springs offers a number of retail locations offering Disney-themed merchandise. However, you will also find storefronts offering many popular and trendy brands like Lego, Kate Spade, Vera Bradley, and so much more. It certainly lives up to its slogan “Happily Whatever You Are After.”
New Rothy’s Store Coming Soon!
Soon there will be even more to enjoy in Disney Springs. Rothy’s is opening a brand new store. It looks like it is coming to the Town Center.
The brand is known for its sustainable shoes, handbags, and accessories. Rothy’s transforms water bottles into comfortable shoes with classic silhouettes. They repurpose over 548,000 pounds of plastic each year to create the materials used in their products. In fact, more than 150 million single-use water bottles have been turned into the threads needed to weave Rothy’s shoes and handbags!
The result is a line-up of shoes and bags that are perfect for just about any occasion. Not only are the shoes beautiful, but they are also comfortable. And, since they are woven from plastic, they are so easy to wash!
There is no specific opening date just yet. However, it is believed the store will open by the end of the year.
