Disney World Confirms Unpopular Resort Perk Change is Permanent
Unfortunately, you will be on your phones even more while visiting Walt Disney World. See more about this permanent change.
Disney World Resort Perks

Many Guests choose to stay at Disney Parks Resort to enjoy many great perks. They feel that the price of a Disney Resort is justified to be able to stay inside the "Disney Bubble".
A few of the most popular perks include various modes of free Disney transportation throughout Walt Disney World, and the opportunity to interact with their favorite Disney pals at select Disney resorts. See the schedule Disney made for this fun perk HERE.
When Walt Disney World opened 2027 Vacation Packages, it confirmed that both Early Entry and Extended Evening Hours will return for 2027.
Disney Resort Recreation Calendars

While these are perks for all Walt Disney World Resort Guests, each Resort features a fun recreational calendar. These activities might include Mickey tie-dye, dance parties, pool games, scavenger hunts, s'mores, and Movies Under The Stars.
Recreational activities are a great way to spend your "rest day" at Disney World. Some of the activities are offered for free, while others have a fee.
Previously, the recreational activity schedule was posted on signage at the resort. While many of these activities are always offered, seasonal fun is added for Guests
Permanent QR Codes

Earlier, we shared that at Disney's Polynesian and Old Key West Resorts, the posted activity schedules have been replaced with QR codes for Guests to scan.
At first, this was available on a temporary sandwich-style board, but now new, permanent QR code signs are popping up at even more Walt Disney World Resorts, including Value Resorts, Moderate Resorts, and Deluxe Resorts.
Permanent QR codes have now been added for Disney Resort recreational activities.
While many Guests complain of Disney's overreliance on mobile devices, this could potentially allow for more flexibility to offer different recreational options at Disney Resorts.
Do you like the new QR codes or do you prefer the recreational activity signs? Share your thoughts with us and share this news with your Disney pals.

In this day and age, I am just grateful WDW still offers the recreational activities, and didn't eliminate them. My daughters have always enjoyed the craft and drawing themed activities and still enjoy them now as young adults.
That is a very good point!
Sheesh.
The first WDW resort I stayed in after purchasing DVC was Animal Kingdom Lodge. They had an actual printed sheet with the activities. They also had a printed sheet with a list of the animals on the savannahs.
I guess it's cheaper and less wasteful to do it all on-line, but it just doesn't have the "deluxe" feel I would expect.
That would definitely feel more personal than a generic online schedule.
