Guests May Depend on Their Phones Even More For Their Next Disney Vacation

Using Your Phone For Your Disney Vacation
Although many guests would rather not be on their phone while on vacation, it is almost impossible to do Disney World without using your phone. Disney has Guests using their phones for a variety of reasons throughout their stay.
Guests can use the My Disney Experience app to plan their day, make reservations, and order food. Guests also receive text messages letting them know if their room is ready or even when their table is ready at one of the many table service restaurants.
Recreational Activities
Each Disney Resort Hotel has lots of recreational activities for its Guests to enjoy. These activities include tie-dye, dance parties and pool games, and one of my (Heather's) favorite - Movies Under The Stars.
Recreational activities are a great way to spend your "rest day" at Disney World. Some of the activities are offered for free, while others have a fee. Be sure to ask if discounts can be applied (example - Annual Passholder or DVC discount can be applied to tie dying t-shirts!).
NEW Signage - QR code
Previously, the recreational activity schedule was posted on signage at the resort. Guests are now reporting that at some resorts the posted activity schedules have been replaced with QR codes for Guests to scan.
So far, Guests have reported the new recreational activity signage at Disney's Polynesian and Old Key West Resorts.

As much as Guest may not like to use their phones for one more thing, this does make seeing the recreational activity schedule very easy. You can even see what movies are playing each night! Guest may really enjoy this change, and not mind being on their phones just a little bit more.
