Modern Scenes Added to The Muppet Christmas Carol
"Who Knew, Who Knew" that a new modern version of The Muppet Christmas Carol was what we all needed this Christmas season. See the newly released surprise.
The Muppet Christmas Carol

My (Donna) favorite Christmas movie of all time is The Muppet Christmas Carol. I watch this several times throughout the year, and it never gets old. This classic film is underrepresented...until the past few years.
Last year, Disney created The Muppet Christmas Carol 12-Day Countdown Calendar. Hidden behind each window and door is a cute little plush inspired by characters from the beloved film.
Thankfully this year, several of these adorable plush Muppet Christmas Carol characters are available for purchase on DisneyStore.com. Unfortunately, Tiny Tim is not included in this release.
Muppet Christmas Carol New Additions

Old Navy released a whole The Muppet Christmas Carol pajama line for the whole family. With the film first released in 1992, it is amazing to see it finally receive the notoriety that it has always deserved.
Now, Walmart brings a fresh take on The Muppet Christmas Carol, bringing back many of our favorite characters, including a few that were not included in the original film.
This commercial truly gives all the feels as Gonzo reprises his role as Charles Dickens and Rizzo reprises his role as...Rizzo the Rat. We jump right into the original film with the song "Scrooge".
A Who Knew Carol

As we see familiar faces such as Miss Piggy, Kermit the Frog, and Fozzy, Rizzo points out that a townswoman with a Walmart shopping bag was not in the original film. Of course, Pepe pops up saying that he wasn't in the original either, but it's called "Giving the people what they want ok".
Of course, Pepe is carrying a multitude of Walmart shopping bags. Very modern gifts are distributed, including Pepe gifting a lava lamp to Rizzo the Rat, with the famous line, "Light the lamp, not the rat, light the lamp, not the rat," from the original film.
The Muppet Christmas Carol offers a new ad for Walmart this Christmas season.
Of course, the climax of the song "Scrooge" is when Scrooge turns around before entering his home and shouts "Bah Humbug". This line is saved until he reaches his upstairs window, and Walton Goggins, featured in the current Walmart "Who Knew, Who Knew" commercials, shouts "Bah Humbug".
Who knew that a Walmart commercial could give us all of the Muppet feels. Check out the full ad:
