Disney's Citizens of Hollywood Spotted Back in Hollywood Studios

After being removed in 2020, Disney's Citizens of Hollywood entertained Guests at Disney's Hollywood Studios along with other rare characters.

Citzens of Hollywood

My favorite thing about Hollywood Studios is the feeling of nostalgia in the buildings, music, and the Citizens of Hollywood. This sets apart this theme park from all others.

These performers give guests a live street performance that occurs throughout the day at Hollywood Studios. Also, the performers vary from a maintenance crew to a loving Hollywood couple.

Guest interaction is included in each performance, and I just love every one of these acts.

Reason for their Return

Sadly, in the fall of 2020, Walt Disney World laid off many entertainers, impacting Hollywood's citizens. Last week, the Citizens of Hollywood, along with other special experiences, delighted Guests at a private event by the Gartner IP Symposium/Xpo on October 20, 2026.

There were so many great entertainment options, including a DJ located in front of the Chinese Theater. Live performers at Pixar Place and at the Twilight Zone Tower of Terror.

Special character interactions were also available with Chip 'n Dale in their adorable sailor uniforms. Launchpad and Scrooge McDuck were also spotted.

Star Wars Entertainment

Star Wars Galaxy's Edge became the fully immersive land that we have always dreamed of. Big banners greeted Guests to "Founders Day" with Cast Members wearing sashes and celebrating with Guests.

Great lightsaber duels entertained guests, along with great character interactions with Chewbacca, Ewoks, Kylo Ren, and Vi Moradi.

A private event at Disney's Hollywood Studios on October 20, 2026, brought back the Citizens of Hollywood.

This looked like an AMAZING night, but it does leave us a bit confused about how these great entertainment options could still be offered in the Parks, but only for select Guests.

Do you think Disney should bring back these types of experiences to the Parks? Share your thoughts with us and share this news with your Disney pals.

Donna has always loved Disney even at an early age. When she was younger her family would joke that she lived in "Donna Land". Even now as an adult, she loves to plan and make magical vacations come to life as she and her family travel "Home" to Walt DisneyWorld. Join her as she brings a little faith, trust, and a little bit of pixie dust to Disney planning.
