The New Way to Request Your Disney World Resort Room
Getting your perfect Walt Disney World Resort room is now even easier. See how you can use this clever hack before your next vacation.
Disney World Resorts

One of the biggest decisions when planning your Walt Disney World Vacation is deciding where to stay. Walt Disney World has more than 25 Disney Resort hotels to choose from.
Couple that choice with Disney Springs area resorts and countless off-property offerings within driving distance, and the choice can seem daunting.
However, once you decide to stay in the Disney Bubble, the choices are at least categorized by price point. Disney World offers Deluxe Resort, Moderate Resort, and Value Resort Options.
Disney Room Requests

While you cannot request a specific room, you can increase your chances of the type of room and view you want.
For example, if you are staying at one of the Disney All-Star Resorts and you would like to be close to the Resort lobby/dining/transportation stations, you can pay a little extra to receive a "Preferred Room".
After this distinction, many Guests may prefer to be on the first floor or in a particular section of the Resort. Disney just made this selection process even easier!
My Disney Experience Room Selection

Guests can easily check-in for their Walt Disney World Resort before they arrive in Orlando through the My Disney Experience app. When completing this check-in procedure, Guests are now given 3 room request options for their Resort Room.
For a All-Star Sports reservation, there is "Room Request 1 (optional)" which includes the following selections:
- None
- Ground floor
- Higher Floor
- King Bed
- Broadway Hotel Section
- Country Fair Section
- Rock Inn Section
Guests are now given 3 room request options on the My Disney Experience app.
The "Room Request 2 (optional)" offers the same selections. This allows Guests to possibly choose both the floor they would like to stay on and the themed section they would prefer.
There is a third option as well. Instead of making a Room Request, you can "Prioritize having my room ready early over these room requests."
While there is no guarantee that these requests will be honored, this is a much easier way to make a request for your perfect Disney Resort room.
