Disney's Port Orleans Blocks Guest Access

Port Orleans Riverside features great theming throughout the resort that allows guests to feel as though they are in the middle of Louisiana.
There are many great amenities such as the surrey bike rides, horse-drawn carriage rides, boat transportation to Disney Springs, and close access to Port Orleans French Quarter.
Port Orleans Refurbishment Extended
Disney originally announced a refurbishment plan for the Magnolia Bend area of the resort. Disney shared that this refurbishment would be completed by February 2026.
The timeline and extent of this refurbishment have grown quite a bit. Now, instead of listing just Magnolia Bend, Disney shares, "From early May 2025 through August 2027, Guest rooms at Disney's Port Orleans Resort Riverside will undergo refurbishments throughout different parts of the Resort hotel."
Port Orleans Riverside Lobby
The lobby of Disney's Port Orleans Riverside is now heavily under refurbishment. Black curtains now block access to several locations for Guests.
The lobby restrooms are now closed. Signage now directs guests to River Roost for the closest available restrooms. The Guest Mailbox has now been relocated inside Fulton's General Store.
Portions of Disney's Port Orleans Riverside Lobby is now blocked to Guests.
Thankfully, Guest Services remain fully open to assist Guests. Depending on the scope of this refurbishment, this may change in the coming weeks. We will share any further updates on this closure at Disney's Port Orleans Riverside.
