Disney Notifies Guests of Port Orleans Riverside

Port Orleans Riverside features great theming throughout the resort that allows guests to feel as though they are in the middle of Louisiana.
There are many great amenities such as the surrey bike rides, horse-drawn carriage rides, boat transportation to Disney Springs, and close access to Port Orleans French Quarter.
Port Orleans Riverside Changes
Earlier, much work was completed at Disney's Port Orleans French Quarter. See all of these changes HERE.
Soon after, Disney announced that a big refurbishment project would soon take place at Disney's Port Orleans Riverside. The initial project was planned for the Magnolia Bend area of the resort.
Disney shared that this refurbishment would be completed by February 2026.
Port Orleans Refurbishment Extended
The timeline and extent of this refurbishment have grown quite a bit. Now, instead of listing just Magnolia Bend, Disney shares, "From early May 2025 through August 2027, Guest rooms at Disney's Port Orleans Resort Riverside will undergo refurbishments throughout different parts of the Resort hotel."
Port Orleans Riverside refurbishment now extended until August 2027.
This now extends the refurbishment calendar close to 18 months. Disney does warn, "During this time, Guests may see or hear construction work in the area."
