Disney World Requires a Virtual Queue for Popular Character
Disney's Virtual Queue returns soon, but with several changes. Check out the full details.
Disney Virtual Queue
Over the years, Disney has made several adjustments to the Virtual Queue system. Although no attractions currently offer a Virtual Queue, the Virtual Queue remains on the My Disney Experience app.
At times, Walt Disney World activates the Virtual Queue for popular merchandise releases and for runDisney events.
Starting next month, the Virtual Queue will be reactivated.
Virtual Queue Returns
You can meet Santa at Walt Disney World without even needing a park ticket. Over at Disney Springs, you can meet Santa Claus at Santa's Marketplace (located near Disney's Pin Traders) from November 11th through December 24, 2026.
A virtual queue is in place for this meet-and-greet and is subject to availability. A traditional stand-by line is not available this year.
Guests can join the Virtual Queue to meet Santa on the My Disney Experience app at 9:00 am, 11:00 am, 1:00 pm, 3:00 pm, and 5:00 pm. It is important to note that you must be at Disney Springs to join the Virtual Queue.
Meeting Santa Claus at Disney World
With the very first Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party set for November 8, 2026, and November 7, 2026, for Jollywood Nights, Walt Disney World will make the change from Halloween to Christmas fairly quickly.
Guests can also meet Santa Claus during normal Park hours at the following locations:
- EPCOT: Santa Claus at CommuniCore Hall and Santa Goofy at The Odyssey
- Magic Kingdom: Storybook Circus
- Disney's Animal Kingdom: Santa's Holiday Grove
- Disney's Hollywood Studios: Walt Disney Presents
Guests can join the Virtual Queue to meet Santa on the My Disney Experience app starting November 11, 2026.
