Disney Extends a Popular Perk to a New Resort—Just as Another Gets Cut

One popular resort perk has been added to a new Disney Resort, but sadly, this will now only be available at select Walt Disney World Resorts. What do you think of this change?

Many Guests choose to stay at Disney Parks Resort to enjoy many great perks. They feel that the price of a Disney Resort is justified to be able to stay inside the "Disney Bubble".

A few of the most popular perks include various modes of free Disney transportation throughout Walt Disney World, and the opportunity to interact with their favorite Disney pals at select Disney resorts. See the schedule Disney made for this fun perk HERE.

When Walt Disney World opened 2027 Vacation Packages, it confirmed that both Early Entry and Extended Evening Hours will return for 2027.

Disney Vacation Club is in the process of building its newest resort hotel, Disney's Lakeshore Lodge. Disney announced that this new resort would open on July 1, 2027. You can see full details for Disney's Lakeshore Lodge HERE.

Earlier, Disney confirmed that when Disney's Lakeshore Lodge opens, it will offer Guests both Early Theme Park Entry and Extended Evening Hours.

Now, Disney's Lakeshore Lodge Guests will also receive free entry to either Disney's Typhoon Lagoon or Disney's Blizzard Beach (depending on park availability) on check-in day in 2027.

As we look forward to 2027, the free water park perk returns, but once again, this will only be offered for the summer. Disney has not shared specific dates for this perk.

Disney's Lakeshore Lodge Guests will receive free entry to either Disney's Typhoon Lagoon or Disney's Blizzard Beach.

There is a new exception for the free water park perk in 2027. This does not extend to guests staying at the Campsites at Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort.
