Disney fans are still greatly divided about the new Disney Genie system currently available at Walt Disney World. It was announced that Disneyland would receive this new system at a later date. Now, a big virtual queue change may indicate that the Disney Genie will be flying into Disneyland very soon.
Virtual Queue Change
We were so excited to watch the opening ceremony of the Avengers Campus at Disneyland back in June 2021. One of the biggest attractions that Guests were excited to experience was WEB SLINGERS: A Spiderman Adventure.
This amazing attraction offered a virtual queue that Guests may join that was similar to the virtual queue for Rise of the Resistance. Today, Disneyland announced that they “may now opt to pause virtual queue enrollment from time to time and open the standby queue for the remainder of the day.”
This change will begin TOMORROW! Disneyland’s Rise of the Resistance will still offer a Virtual Queue at this time. What could this change in the Virtual Queue mean for Disneyland?

Could this Indicate Disney Genie Debut?
Prior to the debut of Disney Genie at Walt Disney World, a change was made to the Virtual Queue of Rise of the Resistance. On September 16, 2021, Guests were notified that the Virtual Queue would no longer be available for this popular attraction.
Many speculated that this change was due to the soon coming debut of Disney Genie, Disney Genie+, and Individual Lightning Lane. When a date was released for the debut of Disney Genie at Walt Disney World, the Walt Disney Company shared that Disney Genie would be available for Disneyland “later.”
Although the Walt Disney Company has not released a date for when Disney Genie may be available at Disneyland, this change to WEB SLINGERS virtual queue may be an indicator that it may occur soon.
A change was first made on September 16, 2021 to the Virtual Queue for Rise of the Resistance at Walt Disney World and then Disney Genie was available to Guests on October 19, 2021. If this is an indicator, this could mean that Disneyland Guests may see Disney Genie during the mid part of this month.
This change to the Virtual Queue of WEB SLINGERS could indicate that Disney Genie will soon debut at Disneyland.
