D23 Announcements

This morning, D23 held their annual D23 Expo with a ton of exciting news for Disney Parks! Some of the biggest announcements were made at Disney World.

For Magic Kingdom, Disney revealed date the Hatbox Ghost will materialize and plans for the largest ever expansion to a Disney Park. And Disney announced that the Country Bears will be getting a new show and a lounge coming to Adventureland.

Then, at EPCOT, Disney revealed the opening of the Journey of Water attraction and new Moana meet and greet HERE. Last, but not least, Disney’s Animal Kingdom is shaking things up. Disney announced that Zootopia, Indiana Jones, and Encanto are coming along with a show being cut.

Combining New Technologies

At Disney California Adventure Park, a new world-jumping vehicle is coming to the next attraction in Avengers Campus to help transport Super Heroes into the Multiverse.

Brent Strong, executive creative director at Walt Disney Imagineering, shared a first look at the ride vehicle featuring a design that combines elements of Tony Stark’s time suits with Xandarian jump points and Wakandan technology.

This cool new vehicle combines elements of Tony Stark’s time suits with Xandarian jump points and Wakaandan technology to travel to remote worlds!

This new vehicle combines portal technology and flight capabilities to maneuver through the skies, meaning heroes can deploy anywhere they’re needed.
