Opening Day Attraction
Today during the D23 Destination Expo, Disney is sharing great new updates to the Disney Parks. Walt Disney World’s opening day attractions truly are nostalgic for many guests.
Disney announced a new update with the Hatbox Ghost. Be sure to check out when he will materialize HERE. We also have a much needed update for another opening day attraction, Country Bear Jamboree.
Country Bear Jamboree Update
These lovable bears are the stars of the Disney Parks animatronic show The Country Bear Jamboree.
The show is naturally located in Frontierland. The bears play instruments like washboards and jugs as they entertain guests with songs in a saloon style setting. This attraction has needed an update for quite some time.
This morning, Disney shared that they will remake new images for this show featuring a cool Nashville vibe. Not only this, but we will also receive new songs for the Country Bear Jamboree.
Disney even showed us a great sneak peek at a new song. Of course, the best Disney song ever for this group of bears is none other than Bare Necessities from a Disney animated classic, Jungle Book.
There is no timeline for this update, but we are sure that this will resonate greatly with all Walt Disney World guests. This is a great update for this opening day attraction.
Brand new updated signage and songs are coming to Country Bear Jamboree.

Not only will the look for the Country Bears change, along with their music, but a new name change will come as well. Guests may remember Liver Lips McGrowl as part of this show. This name will soon change to Romeo McGrowl. Same bear, but just a different name to keep up with the times.

Ugh, they should just retire this. As a 20yr annual pass local, I've been to it twice. Once at the beginning and another recently to see nothing's changed and neither has my impression of it.
