Complicated Virtual Queue Arrives at Disney World Soon

Disney Parks have often utilized a Virtual Queue for rides, special experiences, or merchandise events that require it.

Disney also uses a Virtual Queue online when popular merchandise drops or for special merchandise releases throughout the year.

Most recently, a Virtual Queue was activated on the Walt Disney World website for dining reservations for the reopening of the Diamond Horseshoe- Limited Time Offering.

Disney Lorcana trading cards have become quite popular. This summer, Disney Lorcana released exclusive sets that garnered multi-hour wait times at Disney Springs (Walt Disney World) and Downtown Disney (Disneyland).

This month, the Disney Lorcana Hyperia City will be released at the World of Disney at Disney Springs. Due to the popularity of this collection, Disney Springs will initiate a Virtual Queue with several strict rules to maintain order and safety for all Guests.

The official announcement from Disney Springs: "On October 16, 2026, a virtual queue will be in place for the latest Disney Lorcana Hyperia City release at World of Disney at Disney Springs.

Use the My Disney Experience app to join the queue beginning at 6:00 am (must be within approximately 45 miles of Disney Springs to join the virtual queue at this time).

Virtual queue opens on October 16, 2026, at Disney Springs.

Any vehicles or guests arriving before this time will be asked to depart and return at 9:00 am. Since this event is using a virtual queue, guests do not need to arrive at Disney Springs prior to 9:00 am for this event."

This virtual queue has several notable restrictions:

Limit of one Guest per boarding pass- boarding passes cannot be linked or shared
Purchase limited to 2 unites of the featured items per Guest, while supplies last
Capacity is limited. Joining the virtual queue does not guarantee the ability to purchase the featured Disney Lorcana merchandise.
Late arrivals may not be accommodated. You have 60 minutes to return after your boarding group is called.
