EPCOT has been undergoing major construction for the past couple of years. We are so excited to see that more areas will finally be opening soon!
EPCOT Progress

The newly reimagined EPCOT is slowly opening and making some major progress this year. Moana’s Journey of Water will be opening soon! You can read more about it HERE. Not only is the area brand new, but guests will have a chance to see Moana as well!
EPCOT also announced a brand new nighttime spectacular debuting later this year. To read more about Luminous – The Symphony of Us, take a look at this post HERE.
World of Celebration

The World Celebration will be EPCOT’s future home to amazing gardens and spaces that will come alive throughout the seasons with our international festival program at EPCOT. Installation of custom metalwork that will form a gracefully curved pathway from Dreamers Point to the center of World Celebration has already begun.
Earlier, Disney shared the following about what to expect from this new area in the park: These walkway elements will include metal panels of weathered steel, aka corten steel, which will cure to form a rich orange-hued patina – providing a distinctive color and a protective corrosion barrier to the solid cast metal panels. These panels will also serve as protective grating for a large allée of trees that will follow the architectural curvature of the Connections Café and Eatery and Creations shop facades.
Opening Date

During D23’s event today, Disney announced that World of Celebration will be opening in December of this year.
World of Celebration at EPCOT will open in December 2023!
With the new nighttime spectacular and World Celebration opening during December, it looks like guests will have a lot to look forward to at EPCOT at the end of this year.
