More Disney World Resorts are reopening in 2021! One Resort reopening has also been pushed back. See the newest resorts that are accepting new bookings! Will you stay at any of these hotels?

Phased Reopening

Disney World reopened in July, and that reopening looked much different than any of us anticipated. From no FastPasses and character meets to required masks and temperature screenings, things have certainly changed.

One of the many other changes has been resort hotel operations. Specifically, very few hotels actually reopened in July. DVC rooms reopened in June along with a short list of regular hotels the following month.

More resorts have slowly begun to reopen like Caribbean Beach, Yacht Club, and Art of Animation. We have news regarding the next few hotels to open.

New Bookings

Disney shares the following announcement:

“We continue to take a measured and deliberate approach to reopening our Walt Disney World Resort hotels, and as of today, are now accepting bookings for:

Disney’s All-Star Movies Resort for arrivals beginning March 22 [2021]

Disney’s Beach Club Resort for arrivals beginning May 30 [2021]

Disney’s Wilderness Lodge for arrivals beginning June 6 [2021]

As we previously shared, future reopening dates of Disney Resort hotels are subject to change and Guests’ reservations could still be modified to other Disney Resort hotels.”

What this means

Both the DVC rooms at Beach Club and Wilderness Lodge have been open since June 2020. However, now the regular portion of the resorts will reopen later next spring!

We previously shared that All-Star Movies would reopen in February. I even booked a hotel stay for the reopening! However, it appears this has been pushed back. Disney pixie-dusted me twice this past year since I had stays booked for two closed resorts. We will see where I end up!

Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort still shows a reopening date of summer 2021. It is currently undergoing an extensive refurbishment to the monorail, rooms, and Ceremonial House. We still do not have reopening dates for BoardWalk Inn, Port Orleans Riverside, and Port Orleans French Quarter.
