BREAKING: New Pool Area Opening Today At This Magic Kingdom Resort

Construction Around Fort Wilderness Campground

The Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground has undergone and continues to go through quite a bit of construction. The resort recently finished up erosion work along with a lobby refurbishment.

Disney is also working on a new pool, along with a tennis court, and two pickleball court that will be located at the Meadow!

But this wasn't the only construction happening around The Fort. Disney Vacation Club is also constructing Disney Lakeshore Lodge which is just behind Pioneer Hall. You can see photos of the construction HERE.

Pool Construction

On our last visit to The Fort, the construction for the pool and new recreation area was well underway. You could see the outline of the pool along with two structures.

The new recreation area caused Fort Guests to have to take a detour to access the Meadow Swimmin' Pool golf car parking.

New Pool Area Opening Today

Guests that are staying at The Fort are reporting that the new pool area is opening later today!

The NEW pool at The Fort is opening today!

Guests have also reported that there is a wagon with a nod to River Country on display in the new pool area. We are very excited for this new addition, and we can't wait for our next visit!
