Disney Vacation Club has previously announced that Disney Lakeshore Lodge will replace Reflections – A Disney Lakeside Lodge. This new resort will be in the same footprint that was planned for the Reflections resort.

Disney has replaced the planned Reflections – A Disney Lakeside Lodge with Disney Lakeshore Lodge.

The new DVC resort is expected to open in 2027! Disney stated that the resort is “inspired by the majesty of nature and its enduring influence on Disney artists.”

The alleged plans of the new resort include a lazy river, zero-entry design, water slides, and a splash pad. The anticipated location will leave pool guests with spectacular waterfront views. The Yacht and Beach Club are the only other Disney resorts to offer a lazy river, so this will be a great addition to this resort.

Construction crews are hard at work building this new Disney Vacation Club Resort. As you near the construction zone you can see several cranes. When we visited, it looked like they were finishing up the roof on the second floor and beginning to work on the third floor.

Most of Clementine’s Beach remains closed off to Guests due to the construction. “Tree-covered” scrim is blocking the construction zone, and yellow barriers remain in the water to contain any construction debris.

As you can see in the images above and below, Lakeshore Lodge is going to be very close to Pioneer Hall. Will it change the vibe of The Fort?

Fortunately, during my most recent stay at The Fort Wilderness Campground, I could only hear and see the construction when visiting Pioneer Hall, the Settlement Trading Post, or taking the boat to Magic Kingdom. Be prepared to hear and see construction when visiting The Fort Wilderness Campground.
