Another Multi-Month Refurbishment Coming to This Magic Kingdom Resort

Another multi-month refurbishment is coming to this Magic Kingdom Resort that is already seeing a big refurbishment. Find out what work is being done, and if it will impact your Disney vacation.

A lot of construction is happening in and round The Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground (The Fort). Campers have some exciting amenities coming their way, as a new pool along with pickle ball and tennis courts are being built. You can read about those HERE.

Disney is also refurbishing the lobby, which should be nearing completion. You can see the details HERE.

Disney Vacation Club is also constructing Disney Lakeshore Lodge which is just behind Pioneer Hall. Many Fort goers are skeptical as this new DVC resort is towering over the Clementine Beach and Pioneer Hall. Hopefully, this hotel will have a similar final reaction as the DVC cabins.

New Work To Begin

According to the Disney Vacation Club website, more work will begin at The Fort. The website states:

Erosion control work will take place along the sidewalk on Big Pine Trail beginning in early Nov. through Feb. 2026. Signage will be in place to help redirect Guests to available travel routes. Please be aware the Guests may hear or see construction in the area during daytime hours.

What Does This Mean For You?

The erosion work will take place along Big Pine Trail, which runs from the 1700 loop all the way to Tri-Circle-D Ranch. Be sure to follow all posted signage and Cast Member directions.

Guests may hear or see construction during this daytime hours.

With all the work happening around the campground right now, be prepared to see and hear construction during daytime hours.
