UPDATE: Check Out The Progress Of Disney's Newest Resort
Disney's quickly building their newest Magic Kingdom area hotel. Check out the progress.
Disney's Lakeshore Lodge

Disney Vacation Club has announced that Disney Lakeshore Lodge will replace Reflections - A Disney Lakeside Lodge. This new resort will be in the same footprint that was planned for the Reflections resort.
Disney has replaced the planned Reflections - A Disney Lakeside Lodge with Disney Lakeshore Lodge.
The new DVC resort is expected to open in 2027! Disney stated that the resort is "inspired by the majesty of nature and its enduring influence on Disney artists."
Perks At This Resort

Disney's Lakeshore Lodge's alleged plans include a lazy river, zero-entry design, water slides, and a splash pad. The anticipated location will leave pool guests with spectacular waterfront views.
Guests at Disney's Lakeshore Lodge will have an amazing pool along with a spectacular Magic Kingdom fireworks view.
The pool isn't the only amazing benefit this new hotel will offer. It will also offer amazing views of the Magic Kingdom's fireworks. Check out the view this resort will have HERE.
Construction UPDATE

You can see since our last date on August that construction is moving along quickly. On my most recent stay at the Cabins at Disney's Fort Wilderness, I was able to see the progress Disney is making.

There is no hiding this resort as it TOWERS over Pioneer Hall. A ride to The Settlement and it quickly in view. I am hopeful that once the theming and final outdoor touches are in place, the resort will blend in more with its surroundings.
When traveling by boat you can see the progress of its Bay Lake side of the resort. The hotel has quickly reached over nine stories. From the boat you can't tell what work is being done at the pool, but you can tell things are being done.

The A-frame cabins have taken over part of the Fort Wilderness Beach (Clementine Beach). The beach to the right of the dock is still accessible to campers. Check out some video of the construction progress below:
Lots of progress is being made at Disney's Lakeshore Lodge!
By bus (from the Fort Wilderness to the Wilderness Lodge) you can see the Main Entrance of the resort. As you can see the picture, it is really starting to take shape and look more like the concept art.

It does appear that this hotel will have lots to offer its Guests, and if Disney does it right, could be an amazing resort. Hopefully, this new addition won't take away from the experience at Disney's Fort Wilderness Campground either. We are also happy to report that this iconic tree still stands.
What do you think of Disney's Lakeshore Lodge? Are you excited for this new DVC addition? Will you be staying there once it opens? Let us know in the comments below, and be sure to share this post with your friends!

I think the concept of the Lakefront Lodge is fantastic. I just hope the aesthetics of the resort blend with and complement its environment, executed with the same beauty as Wilderness Lodge. I think the aesthetics of the exterior of the new Polynesian Tower missed an opportunity to appear more South Pacific like, and it doesn't really harmonize with the Polynesian village theme. We want to stay at the new Lakeside Resort when the opportunity presents itself.
