Disney Gift Card Change
Some Disney Parks Guests love to save money by using discounted Disney gift cards to pay for their vacations. Guests could enjoy an added discount from hotel rooms in the Disney Resort Collection to Disney World or Disneyland tickets to food to souvenirs.
Previously, all locations inside the Walt Disney World Resort accepted Disney gift cards, but this has now changed.
For several weeks, we heard reports from Guests that this has now changed for select stores at Disney Springs.
Disney Gift Cards at Disney Springs
On a recent trip to Disney Springs, we discovered that the Vera Bradley store no longer accepts Disney gift cards. According to staff, this affects some but not all Disney Springs locations. All Disney owned retail locations still accept Disney gift cards.
Select Disney Springs locations no longer accept Disney gift cards.
This is largely dependent upon the retail location. This is frustrating to Guests visiting Disney Springs trying to discover which locations will or will not accept Disney gift cards.
At this time all locations, even third party vendors, inside the Walt Disney World Theme Parks still accept Disney gift cards.
