Everything that Will Be Closed in Disney In March
Are you heading on a Disney Parks vacation this spring? Here is a list of everything that will be closed in Walt Disney World for the month of March so that you can manage your party's expectations.
Disney World Closures for March 2026

Nobody likes the idea of missing out on a beloved ride or hotly anticipated attraction due to a closure. This is. especially true for a once-in-a-lifetime visit!
Fortunately, Walt Disney World keeps fans updated as much as possible when refurbishments are looming. Of course, this is not always possible in the case of unexpected malfunctions and breakdowns.
But, for the most part, we know what to expect. Here is a rundown of what will be closed in each park this month so you can manage expectations and avoid disappointing surprises.
The Magic Kingdom Closures March 2026

Buzz Lightyear's Space Ranger Spin is still closed for refurbishment and will not reopen until later this year. And, you can see some cool updates for the ride right HERE. We are hoping for reopening dates soon!
Big Thunder Mountain Railroad also remains closed. It will not reopen until an undisclosed date in 2026, but the trains were recently being tested, so that is good news! We miss the Wildest Ride in the Wilderness!
While it is not closed, you should also know that the Walt Disney World Railroad is running in "Shuttle Mode." It will only travel back and forth between Fantasyland and Main Street U.S.A., and this could be the case for several years.
March Closures for Disney's Hollywood Studios

In Disney's Hollywood Studios, Animation Courtyard remains closed. This includes Disney Jr. Play and Dance and Star Wars Launch Bay.
More importantly, Disney's iconic Rock 'n' Roller Coaster is closing for a retheme. The rumor mill created spin around a retheme for a long time, and the time has finally come! Get ready for the Muppets to take over when the ride reopens this summer.

March 2, 2026 is the last day to ride Rock 'n' Roller Coaster
You can take a look at what is coming HERE. We are particularly excited to see the Alice playground.
Animal Kingdom Closures for March 2026

In Disney's Animal Kingdom, an entire land is officially extinct. Dinoland U.S.A. is gone. DINOSAUR closed forever on February 2, 2026, to make way for a new land themed to Central America. You can read about it HERE.
And another area is getting an overhaul. The Wildlife Express Train, Rafiki's Planet Watch, Affection Section, and Conservation Station will be closed for the time being while the area prepares to welcome Bluey! You can read about it HERE.
EPCOT

After several years of construction walls, EPCOT suddenly stands alone as Disney's only park without any major projects contributing to closures. Every attraction is scheduled to be up and running in EPCOT this month.
That is not to say that you won't experience delays due to maintenance or Guests behaving badly. However, for the most part, you should enjoy smooth operations. And, you can enjoy Flower and Garden this month, too!
Do any of these closures impact your visit to Walt Disney World? Let us know. And, feel free to pass the news on to family and friends visiting this month!
