An Alice in Wonderland Area is Heading to Disney World

We are so excited that Alice in Wonderland is about to have more of a presence in Walt Disney World! Here is everything we know so far.

Changes for Disney's Hollywood Studios

This week has held exciting news for Disney's Hollywood Studios. The iconic Sorcerer's Hat is returning as the face of an all-new experience!

Disney is reimagining Star Wars: Launch Bay. While this means that Launch Bay is closing permanently, the change will bring many improvements! We can't wait to see The Magic of Disney Animation.

In fact, this is probably the Hollywood Studios change that is stirring up the least controversy. Muppets fans are still sad about the loss of Muppet Vision 3D, despite the promise of the Monster's Inc. Door Coaster. And many Aerosmith fans aren't convinced that the Muppets are the best retheme for Rock 'n' Rollercoaster.

But there are far fewer people who are as attached to Launch Bay. In fact, many fans wondered why this area was being left untouched and wasn't being utilized instead of the established attractions.

Alice in Wonderland Area

The Magic of Disney Animation retheme will unlock the wonder of Disney Animation. And part of the magic includes an Alice in Wonderland area!

Children will be delighted to explore the "Drawn to Wonderland" playground! The wondrous playground will be filled with an oversized flower garden with musical instruments, a Mad Tea Party playset, and a Tulgey Wood exploration area. It is all inspired by the original "Alice in Wonderland" concept art from Disney Legend Mary Blair.

We are delighted to see a much-needed play area for little ones in Hollywood Studios! Here's hoping the oversized garden gives children the same kind of core memories that many of our readers have of the Honey, I Shrunk the Kids playground.

What Else is Coming to Launch Bay

The fun doesn't stop there! You will also find an animation experience where you can learn to draw your own character sketch.

We can't wait to see the Wonderland Playground and all the new experience has to offer.
