We all understand that work must be done at Disney Parks from time to time. The Disney Parks are open year-round and work is often done while the guests will be least affected.

The effects of refurbishment can be seen all throughout Walt Disney World from resorts to each of the four theme parks and the Disney water parks as well.

Currently, one of the biggest projects at Magic Kingdom is Tiana’s Bayou Adventure. After Splash Mountain closed in January 2023, work immediately started for this massive retheme.

For 18 months, Walt Disney World celebrated its 50th Anniversary. With the celebration officially ending at the end of March, many changes started to happen on April 1st.

On Cinderella Castle, the large 50th Anniversary medallion was removed fairly quickly. Disney shared that the current color schemewill remain for Cinderella Castle, but many decorative elements will be removed.

The moat surrounding Cinderella Castle is drained and construction walls were put in place to the left of the castle next to Sir Mickey’s. Luckily, these walls have now been removed!

Located near the Castle you will find a statue of Cinderella. A fountain is located in front of the statue. Depending on what height you view the statue and mural determines how you see it! When you view from a child’s height or when you are taking a drink from the fountain you will see the crown on Cinderella’s head.

This fountain is now drained and roped off. Luckily, there are no big construction walls blocking the fountain, so that Guests visiting Magic Kingdom can still view the statue.

This is most likely due to a refurbishment of some kind. Hopefully, it won’t be too long with the water drained as it is a beautiful statue that also serves as a drinking fountain for Guests.
