Along with this, the price for the Lightning Lane Multi-Pass is typically the most expensive for Magic Kingdom as well. Since guests are paying a premium price for a day at the Magic Kingdom, you will want to select the best possible date to enjoy all of the magic.

Heading into this fall, the opportunity to enjoy the Disney Starlight parade and Happily Ever After decreases.

In previous years, we recommended visiting the Magic Kingdom on party dates to enjoy lower crowds, but if you are hoping to enjoy the Disney Starlight parade, this may not be the best strategy.

You can see all of the dates when the Magic Kingdom will close at 6:00 pm and will not offer nighttime entertainment for day guests on these dates.

As we look ahead to September we have new park hours for the week of September 6-12, 2026. Here is a breakdown of the new extended park hours:

September 10, 2026: Magic Kingdom now closes at 11:00 pm (before 10:00 pm)
September 11, 2026: Magic Kingdom now opens at 8:00 am (Early Entry 7:30 am)
Setember 11, 2026: Disney's Animal Kingdom now closes at 7:00 pm (before 6:00 pm)
September 12, 2026: Disney's Hollywood Studios now closes at 9:30 pm (before 9:00 pm)
September 12, 2026: Disney's Animal Kingdom now closes at 7:00 pm (before 6:00 pm)

September 12, 2026, offers extended hours at Magic Kingdom, Disney's Hollywood Studios, and Disney's Animal Kingdom.

September 12, 2026, is the perfect day to visit Magic Kingdom. Now, Magic Kingdom opens at 8:00 am (Early Entry at 7:30 am) and closes at 11:00 pm (before 10:00 pm). That is a full 15.5 hours for Walt Disney World Resort Guests to soak up all of the magic of the Magic Kingdom.
