Last week we saw BIG price increases throughout the Disney Parks. We have seen higher price tags for several experiences including:

With the newest wave of price increases across the parks we are still trying to catch our breath and our wallets. Last month, the Walt Disney Company announced many big projects on the horizon during the D23 Expo. Many of these changes are set to affect the Walt Disney World Resort.

This week, many of the top Disney executives are now visiting Walt Disney World.

This week, Walt Disney executives are visiting Walt Disney World as part of their Global Retreat. This will include the current Disney CEO Bob Chapek and Disney Parks Experiences and Products Chairman, Josh D’Amaro. This Global Retreat was once scheduled back in March but was postponed due to a dispute between Disney and the state of Florida.

Official word has not been shared of what will be discussed during this Global Retreat. During the D23 Expo, Josh D’Amaro announced big plans to reimagine Dinoland USA over at Disney’s Animal Kingdom.

D’Amaro also announced that an expansion may soon take place over at Magic Kingdom. Work is also well underway for the opening of Tron. Disney executives and Imagineers may be discussing plans for these exciting projects.

Now Disney executives and Imagineers will be present at Walt Disney World Resort this week for a Global Retreat.

If you are visiting Walt Disney World this week, you may see a few of these Disney executives and Imagineers across the resort.

I totally agree about bringing the magic back and maybe some of the freebies like The Magical Express and the Dining plans. It is way too expensive now to visit with all the additional stuff you now have to pay for that used to be free.

I think stop nickel and diming the guests. I love Disney World but the pricing is out of control. Plus, actually fix the rides you have and open TRON already. The 50th is kind of lack luster. Not anything except higher pricing. Walt would be disappointed. He built the parks for families to experience the rides together - not charge $100 extra to ride one ride - Rise of the Resistance. Maybe Josh D’Amaro should stop and speak to some of the guests and see how they are feeling. I'm sure they will give him the same feedback. Bob Chapek certainly doesn't care about the guests - except to make more money for himself. Disney needs to get the Magic back!
