There are many differing opinions largely depending upon which Disney Resort you are staying at and also which Park you will be visiting. The Walt Disney World Resort is HUGE and many questions revolve around what is the quickest mode of transportation to arrive to each Park.  From the skylinerbusesferry boats, and of course the monorail there are many options for Resort Guests to arrive at each of the Walt Disney World Parks. Recently, Disney upgraded its ferryboat loading and unloading procedures in a major way!

For select events temporary road closures are announced, as for the runDisney events. A new road closure will cause transportation delays for several months for both Cast Members and select forms of Guest transportation. You will definitely want to make plans accordingly particular if Park Hopping or at Park Closing.

Recently, we reported guests visiting EPOCT experiencing a detour starting on January 17, 2022. During this closure, EPCOT Center Drive will be closed for a construction project which is set to end in June 2022. This will affect Guests and Cast Members exiting EPCOT. They will be unable to exit northbound World Drive towards Magic Kingdom. The detour route will direct drivers towards the eastbound exit towards Buena Vista Drive.

During this closure Disney’s Wilderness Lodge and Disney’s Contemporary Resort remains available to northbound World Drive traffic. However, southbound traffic must take a detour on Floridian Way to access these resorts. Also, drivers traveling on Center Drive on Northbound lanes must using a detour starting at Seven Seas Drive. This closure is expected to begin on February 9 and be completed on February 16, 2022.

This will not affect Guests utilizing other forms of Disney transportation like the monorail and skyliner. Guests may want to take advantage of these other forms of transportation if possible to avoid possible traffic delays.

I’m going by Uber to MK or I guess the Ticket and Transportation on Feb 9th from my Airbnb in Kissimmee. Already stressed about when to make my first Genie + pick for might have to make it later then I wanted? I have never used Ticket and Transportation either for MK always was from resorts so nervous! Have used Uber for HS in 2020 was good. Any advice would be great!

You'll definitely need to take an Uber to the Ticket and Transportation Center since Disney doesn't have an Uber drop off for MK. It's super easy, just take the ferryboat (my favorite) or monorail directly to MK.
