Disney has been releasing park hours a little bit at a time. If you’re traveling in early 2021, read on for newly released park hours.

Since the parks reopened in July, park hours have continually been condensed. With no fireworks to show, parks close earlier than we are used to.

If you need some ideas for how to occupy your time after the parks close, check this article out.

January Park Hours

During the month of January, with no Marathon weekend, expect lower crowds than usual.

Currently, January hours for Magic Kingdom show a closing time of 6 p.m. after January 2. The Magic Kingdom will open at 9 a.m.

Epcot will only stay open until 7p.m., save for a few weekend nights at the beginning of the month, when it is scheduled to close at 8p.m.

It’s no surprise that Disney’s Animal Kingdom closes early at 5p.m. Animal Kingdom is scheduled to open at 9a.m.

Finally, Disney’s Hollywood Studios will open at 10 a.m. and close at 7p.m. for the entire month.

February Park Hours

This morning, Disney updated the hours for most of February 2021. The hours for February 2021 are nearly identical to the current proposed January hours above.

Unless Disney updates the calendar later, which they often do, Magic Kingdom will be open from 9 a.m.-6p.m., Epcot 11 a.m.-7p.m., Animal Kingdom 9 a.m.-5.pm and Disney’s Hollywood Studios from 10 a.m.- 7p.m.

Implications of Shortened Hours

When hours are shortened to this degree, local ticketholders and passholders are unable to visit the parks after school or work.

This leaves only the weekends for Florida guests to hit the parks. I’d expect the weekends to be particularly busy in January and February.

It will be a little tougher to occupy your time after the parks closed when the weather is cold, since night time swimming won’t be very appealing!

In February? No thanks!
