Let's be honest, no one hopes that they will encounter rain on vacation. With a Theme Park located in Florida, rainy days happen pretty regularly.

Walt Disney World will often display pop-up notifications to guests via the My Disney Experience app. This is helpful for communicating ride closures, changes in operations, and important updates. Unfortunately, this does not include helpful weather warnings.

Recently, they created a new weather app for use in the Disney Parks. Check out the full details HERE.

During  D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event, Neil Patrick Harris hosted Horizons: A Carousel of Progress, where Disney announced HUGE Park news. We learned great new details of Piston Peak themed National Park coming to Magic Kingdom.

One of the main attractions is the Cars Ridge Run Rally. This is described as a quest to find "the wildest racer in the wheelderness" as they compete for the "fastest lap in the West."

After reaching the top, racers will plummet down for a camelback descent and later navigate an exhilarating geyser field.

Cars Ridge Run Rally will function perfectly when sprint through the Old Tankfull geyser field. This also means that this attraction will remain open in the rain unlike Test Track at EPCOT.

There is one exception: Cars Ridge Run Rally will close if lightning is in the area. However, this is great news for when the attraction finally opens.
