Disney Park Changes
As Walt Disney once said, "We keep moving forward," and this is very true for the Disney Parks in 2026.
The Walt Disney Company shared BIG plans for Walt Disney World over the next 10 years. These plans greatly affect Magic Kingdom, Disney's Hollywood Studios, and Disney's Animal Kingdom.
Disneyland looks to bring a new Avatar-themed experience to its Parks, along with the first-ever Coco attraction.
Why August 15th is a big day for Disney fans
The Walt Disney Company makes many Park announcements throughout the year, but usually the BIGGEST announcements occur during the D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event.
This year, the Horiszons: Disney Experiences Showcase will take place on August 15, 2026, at 7:00 pm (PT). We are ready for all of the Disney Park news for this session.
This will be hosted by Neil Patrick Harris with a fun Carousel of Progress theming.
"Building on the ambitious projects announced in 2024, this year's showcase will take fans deeper into the creative vision behind what's to come, hearing directly from the Imagineers, storytellers, artists, and innovators bringing these experiences to life."
Guests are promised "exciting announcements and a few surprises along the way."
Muppets Fans
There is also a big Muppets presence at this year's D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event. On Friday, August 14, 2026, Seth MacFarlane, along with other special guests, will dive into the rich Muppets songbook.
Big Disney Parks news is expected on August 15, 2026.
Mickey's of Glendale just released the Muppets Studio Signature Collection that will be available at the D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event.
Muppets fans can even bid on items from the closed Muppet Vision 3D during the first-ever "Disney Experiences Auction: Rare and Remarkable Finds".
