Unexpected Change for Disney World's Extended Evening Hours

We were not expecting this BIG change for Disney's Extended Evening Hours. Will this affect your Park plans?

Guests staying at Deluxe and Deluxe Villa Resorts can experience the parks at night after everyone else has left. This is one of the many great benefits of staying at these high-tier resorts.

Typically, Epcot hosts Extended Evening Hours on Monday, and Magic Kingdom hosts Extended Evening Hours on Wednesday.

This has been the case for the last few years, with a few exceptions.

Extended Evening Hours Unexpected Change

Each fall, we see this unpopular shift of Extended Evening Hours from Magic Kingdom. This change is twofold, with the start of Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party in August and running through October, along with Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party offered in both November and December.

However, this fall, we see several exceptions even to this pattern. As a reminder, we previously shared that the Extended Evening Hours shift runs from Wednesday to Tuesday for one October date.

Now, instead of Extended Evening Hours offered on Monday, October 26, 2026, at EPCOT, this has shifted to Disney's Animal Kingdom. Disappointing Change

Enjoy Animal Kingdom Even Later This Summer — Credit: Donna

We do love extra time to enjoy Disney's Animal Kingdom, but this park offers fewer attractions for Extended Evening Hours compared to Magic Kingdom. Because this Park closes the earliest, Extended Evening Hours are from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm.

It will be interesting to see which Park will offer Extended Evening Hours later in the week of October 25, 2026, due to this change.
