Several Walt Disney World restaurants have recently been added to the My Disney Experience walk-up waitlist feature! Come see how this new feature works and the current list of restaurants!
My Disney Experience Restaurant Waitlist
Before, if you wanted to try to eat a restaurant that had no reservation availability, you could walk up to the check-in area and possibly be put on a waitlist.
Now, you can join a waitlist from your mobile device! Here’s how it works:
Groups with 7 people or less can join the waitlist from the mobile app. You click on Reserve Dining in the My Disney Experience app.
Then you select the party size and today’s date. You cannot join a walk-up waitlist for a future date. Now, you see the option to select “Now” and it shows eligible restaurants.
Under each restaurant it will list any times available. Please note in order to join the waitlist you have to be nearby!
Parties of 8 or more will need to continue to walk up to the restaurant and inquire about availability.
More Restaurants Included
When the feature first rolled out, only 4 restaurants were available:
Kona Cafe at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort
Sanaa at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge
Topolino’s Terrace at Disney’s Riviera Resort
Whispering Canyon at Disney’s Wilderness Lodge
Now, when I open the app to take a peek, I see several more! In addition to the four listed above, here is the list of new restaurants:
Ale & Compass Restaurant at Disney’s Yacht Club Resort
Beaches & Cream Soda Shop at Disney’s Beach Club Resort
California Grill and Chef Mickey’s at Disney’s Contemporary Resort
Grand Floridian Cafe at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa
Olivia’s Cafe at Disney’s Old Key West
The Wave…of American Flavors at Disney’s Contemporary Resort
Tiffins Restaurant at Disney’s Animal Kingdom (the only restaurant in a theme park with this feature!)
