My Disney Experience has rolled out a new feature: the walk-up waitlist service for Disney World restaurants! See which restaurants are participating and how to get on a waitlist here!

A few days ago we shared that My Disney Experience would allow Guests the option to join a walk-up waitlist for select restaurants on property. This allows you to check wait times and possibly be able to dine there without an advance reservation.

Now it has officially rolled out, and we know which restaurants are participating and how to join a waitlist!

How to Join a Restaurant’s Walk-up Waitlist

Groups with 7 people or less can join the waitlist from the mobile app. You click on Reserve Dining in the My Disney Experience app.

Then you select the party size and today’s date. You cannot join a walk-up waitlist for a future date.

Now, you see the option to select “Now” and it shows eligible restaurants.

Under each restaurant it will list any times available. When I check for today, it says “Walk-up list is currently unavailable due to high demand.”

Parties of 8 or more will need to continue to walk up to the restaurant and inquire about availability.

Participating Restaurants

Currently, the only restaurants participating in the walk-up waitlist are Kona Cafe at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort, Sanaa at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge, Topolino’s Terrace – Flavors of the Riviera at Disney’s Riviera Resort, and Whispering Canyon Cafe at Disney’s Wilderness Lodge.

It also notes at the bottom of the screen that additional dining locations may have availability, but do not offer a walk-up list via the app. This means you will need to head to the restaurant without the feature and speak with a Cast Member there.

Hopefully we will see more restaurants pop up in the future as this feature is very convenient!
