While we certainly saw some of these coming (you can’t have a fireworks dessert party without the fireworks), this just kind of hits really hard. With the recent cancelation of Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party and all of these magical extras, this definitely will not be the Disney World we visited before.

I know Disney will still make magic happen, and our KtP Crew is excited to be there for the reopening so we can share all of that magic!

  1. Are these cancelled for the rest of 2020? I didn’t see a date listed. Or is it possible they may come back after a few months?

  2. It’s all a liability issue. Nobody wants to be the first major place to do anything. So now Disney will learn how little of an experience they can provide and still have people come. When things can go back to normal, don’t bet on Disney offering up extras it has learned aren’t necessary to still make money. Just like other businesses have learned just how few employees they really need to function well, Disney will learn how to maximize profit without offering anything more than a standard amusement park. The Disney we love is gone. I hate to be the guy to say it because it truly was a magical place. Accept the reality that you may have hugged your last Disney character.

  3. yeah. they pretty much scuttled my trip and why even bother rescheduling until they step back from the massive overkill? not that i didnt see it coming. you knew that whatever universal did disney (and their lawyers…) were going to take it 973 steps further.

  4. This is meant as a question and not a comment. Are there any “extras” that you can think of that isn’t canceled?? Our “go to” are the dessert parties. We are in our 70’s and so rides are not our priority. Second question: Do you think by Thanksgiving any of the extras will be bqck. Thanks.

  5. Seems to fit current Disney MO. The overwhelming message appears to be don’t come. But why miniature golf ? That’s one step too much…….

What do you think?
