Skyliner and Minnie Vans Will Run Early to Accommodate Hollywood Studios Arrivals

For a stress-free Disney or Universal Studios vacation, let the FREE expert planners at Royal Carriage Vacations take care of every detail including dining reservations, applying discounts, and onboard cruise credit.

Guests looking to arrive early to secure a boarding group for Rise of the Resistance at Galaxy’s Edge will have additional transportation options starting today. With Hollywood Studios opening at 7 a.m., Minnie Vans and the Disney Skyliner will begin early operating hours starting December 13 and continuing until at least December 21.

According to fellow Disney Bloggers at TheDis, Minnie Vans will begin running at 5 a.m., With the Skyliner beginning operations at 6:45 a.m. I have reached out to Guest Services via Twitter for a confirmation on this, but have not yet received a response at the time of publication.

I (Rebecca) am not an early riser, so I will wait awhile to try this attraction even though we are taking a trip to Disney World next week! Hollywood Studios has adjusted their operating hours and then again (in the same day, no less) in order to accommodate early arrivals.

If you’re brave enough to rise to the challenge (Sivako! Oops, wrong franchise) check out Kenny’s tips for experiencing this attraction.

Don’t forget to verify that all guests in your party are the correct height for Rise of the Resistance before you drag them out of bed at 5 a.m. to ride! Be sure to pack your patience as the ride has experienced some hiccups during the first few weeks of operation.

One of our writers had a very interesting experience while riding over opening weekend. We were all enthralled by her “live tweeting” in our writer’s group, so she wrote it up here for you! Free cookies? I’m there.

If merchandise is your thing, check out the cool shirts, hats, and more they have for this attraction at Hollywood studios.

When will your party be giving this attraction a try? Are you planning to get up “runDisney early” to get a spot? Or are you hoping the crowds die down later in 2020 and planning to wait? Let us know in the comments!
