New Star Wars Merchandise: Baby Yoda and Rise of the Resistance

Rise of the Resistance, the second ride in Galaxy’s Edge, opens tomorrow, December 5! Our fearless leader, Kenny will be there for it!

Disney parks debuted new merchandise for the occasion and they also responded to the demand for Baby Yoda merchandise that looks like official merchandise! All photos below from Disney Parks.

Let’s start with the new Rise of the Resistance Swag! There will be a variety of items available tomorrow at Disney’s Hollywood Studios in the Once Upon a Time shop on Hollywood Boulevard. There will be Shirts, a hat, and a tumbler along with pins and a ride vehicle toy!

If you’re like me & love to showcase your passholder status, this shirt is for you! You’ll probably catch me in the parks wearing it!

This merchandise will also be available at Disneyland by January 17. I found the wording on the Disney Parks Blog post to be a little difficult to parse. It seems that some of it will be available tomorrow when the attraction debuts at Disney World, and some won’t be available until January 17 when it opens on the west coast.

These look much better than last week’s shirts! And yes, Disney, we know he’s called “The Child” but we all call him Baby Yoda anyway!

Disney also announced that they will be airing the seventh episode of the Mandalorian 2 days early (December 18) on Disney+ along with a special sneak peek of Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker. Rise of Skywalker opens on Friday, December 20, so I guess they assume Star Wars fans will have a prior engagement on that night!

December 2019 is shaping up to be a BIG month for Star Wars fans! If you have a Star Wars fan to buy for this holiday season you won’t be short on options!

I plan to ride ROTR in a couple of weeks and will probably head straight for the gift shop to pick up my Passholder tee to celebrate what Disney calls “One of the most ambitious, advanced and immersive experiences ever undertaken by Walt Disney Imagineering.”
