Disney Makes BIG Change To This Iconic Tree
There is one iconic Disney tree that has received a big change. Find out what has changed, and if it will impact your next Disney vacation.
Lakeshore Lodge

Disney Vacation Club has announced that Disney Lakeshore Lodge will replace Reflections - A Disney Lakeside Lodge. This new resort will be in the same footprint that was planned for the Reflections resort.
The new DVC resort is expected to open in 2027! Disney stated that the resort is "inspired by the majesty of nature and its enduring influence on Disney artists."
Lakeshore Lodge's alleged plans include a lazy river, zero-entry design, water slides, and a splash pad. The anticipated location will leave pool guests with spectacular waterfront views. Including what is sure to be an amazing Magic Kingdom fireworks view.

The Shoe Tree

Have you ever heard or seen of the Disney Shoe Tree? If you have taken the boat to/from Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort to the Magic Kingdom, you have probably seen it. This tree is located on the shores of Bay Lake and has dozens of shoes on it. But do you know why?
The Shoe Tree has dozens of pairs of shoes on its branches. Each shoe is from a retired Cast Member which was placed after their last shift.
When a Cast Member from Seven Seas Lagoon and Bay Lake have their last shift, it is customary for them to throw their shoes onto this tree. Originally, it was all Cast Members, but that has shifted to just Seven Seas Lagoon and Bay Lake Cast Members.
Shoes Removed

It has been reported that the shoes from the Shoe Tree have been removed. The Shoe Tree would obstruct views from Lakeshore Lodge.
It has also been reported that the shoes have been relocated to a new tree!
The shoes have been relocated to another tree - one that is closer to a backstage area. The new location is near the backstage entrance to the Magic Kingdom marina.
What do you think of Disney relocating the shoes from the Shoe Tree? Would you want the view of the shoes while dining or staying at Lakeshore Lodge? Are you happy to see that they relocated shoes versus getting rid of them completely? Let us know in the comments below, and be sure to share this post with your friends!
