Another day, another fight. What is going on in the parks?

Be the Magic

Over the last few years, we have seen our fair share of poorly behaved Guests. Whether that be someone sticking their feet in the water on Splash Mountain, brawls breaking out, or a drunk man shutting down the Skyliner, we feel like we have seen it all. School parents even went so far as to take a dip in an Epcot fountain.

Disney even went so far as to post a courtesy reminder on the website over one year ago:

Be the magic you want to see in the world. You must always remember to treat others with respect, kindness and compassion. Those who can’t live up to this simple wish may be asked to leave Walt Disney World Resort.

Bad Guest Behavior

It seems like fights and arguments occurring at Disney seem to be more common than in the past. Maybe it’s the increase of social media in our technological world or emotions at an all time during a pandemic. While we certainly don’t like reporting it, it does shed a light on the state of the theme parks and the daily happenings.

It definitely feel like all these arguments and fights are causing the magic to fade a bit at Disney Parks. No one likes to witness these incidents, especially when you are traveling with children.

We have reported fights and arguments on the tramsferry boats, and in the parks. We share these incidents to make you aware that these physical fights and verbal arguments do happen in the park. Many of us like to think we leave the real world behind when we visit the parks, but that is not always the case.

Screaming Match with Cast Member

A video captured a Disneyland Guest screaming at other Guests on the tram. You can hear Cast Members tell the Guest to settle down and that they cannot leave until everyone settles down. It appears she is not happy with a man about a row or two up. The man is pointing at her.

Then, she turns her attention to a Cast Member nearby. It is unclear what exactly caused the tension or what she was saying to others.

As you can see and hear, the “audience” makes comments like, “This isn’t Six Flags or Knott’s Berry Farm” and “Come on, Karen!” They then begin chanting, “Get her off” but a Cast Member shuts that down pretty quickly as not to escalate the situation.

By the caption, it appears this happened after one of the recent Grad Nite events. The past events took place on May 12, 14, and 17. See the video below:

As a cast member dealing with very rude and entitled guests who think they are above the rules and know that for the most part they can get away with a lot of bad behaviors because many in management will kiss their butts rather than remove them has left a bad taste in most of our mouths. Sick and tired of it and little help from leadership except in the most extreme cases.

The woman in front of the one yelling is holding a child. The look on that child's face, she's confused as to what's going on. It's really sad.. there's so many young kids at Disney and the adults can't control themselves in front of them. Absolutely disgusting

I’m sick of these guests who make everyone’s trips memorable in this way. Also, I have to admit that it’s good to know this isn’t exclusive to WDW and happens at DLR too. But then that just means we can’t escape it on either coast.
