We are so excited that entertainment is returning throughout Walt Disney World. There is something truly magical as the sun sets, and the Disney Parks come to life with fireworks in both Magic Kingdom with Enchantment and Harmonious in EPCOT.
The beautiful Beacons of Light on all 4 Disney Park icons are truly a fantastic end to each day. Check out the fun holiday overlay to Spaceship Earth HERE. We were also excited to announce that Fantasmic will be returning to Disney’s Hollywood Studios in 2022 with a newly reimagined scene.
Recently, nighttime entertainment has been cancelled in Disney’s Hollywood Studios on multiple nights. Check these cancelled showtimes HERE.
Now another Disney Park will have cancelled showtimes as well.
Newly Cancelled Nighttime Shows
The Disney Parks magically transform as the sun sets. Over at Disney’s Animal Kingdom, Guests can enjoy the Tree of Life Awakening. Disney describes this show as, “Flickering fireflies magically appear and stir to life the animal spirits in the tree’s towering trunk—bringing to light a dazzling visual display swarming with color and animated imagery.”
“A feast for the eyes, each revelation celebrates the eternal balance and harmony that exists in all living things, big or small, and is sure to inspire and delight your whole family tree.“
The Tree of Life Nighttime Awakenings begins at dark and occurs every 10 minutes until the Park closes. This is such a beautiful show, but unfortunately this show is cancelled for 2 dates in March. On Tuesday, March 2nd and Wednesday, March 3rd, there are no showtimes listed for the Tree of Life Nighttime Awakenings on the Walt Disney World website.

At this time we are unsure why these showtimes have been cancelled. This is helpful to know if you will be planning a trip to Disney’s Animal Kingdom for early March. The entertainment calendar has not yet been updated past the first week in March. It will be interesting to see if other dates are cancelled as well.
