Character Cavalcades
Throughout the day Guests can enjoy special character cavalcades. Previously these were found in all 4 Walt Disney World Parks. Unfortunately, EPCOT no longer offers Character Cavalcades. Be sure to check out Complete Guide to Character Cavalcades for all of the great Cavalcades featured in the other Walt Disney World Parks.
This is such a fun way to interact with your favorite characters throughout the day. You can even find entertainment schedules on the My Disney Experience app and on the Character Locator.
During the D23 event in November 2021, Disney stated that cavalcades have been very popular and will continue to be part of the park entertainment into the future. Due to the overwhelming popularity of these Character Cavalcades, a new cavalcade was announced to debut in 2022.
Disney Adventure Friends Cavalcade
“Later this winter, we’ll introduce a new cavalcade, the Disney Adventure Friends Cavalcade, with an exciting lineup of characters all embarking on a great journey through the park.
The Disney Adventure Friends Cavalcade will feature the most characters of any cavalcade to date, including Nick and Judy from “Zootopia,” Baloo and King Louie from “The Jungle Book,” José Carioca and Panchito from “The Three Caballeros,” Miguel from “Coco,” plus Merida, Moana, The Incredibles, and so many more!”
We were so excited when this cavalcade appeared on the My Disney Experience app, and now we have a debut date for this new cavalcade.
Debut Date
Guests with upcoming trips to Walt Disney World will be among the first to experience this newest cavalcade. This newest cavalcade will feature two floats with a compass featured atop. This will replace the preexisting Magic Kingdom Cavalcade and will feature more than 30 characters. What is so exciting is that this will debut on February 11th.
