“At last we see the light” towards progress at EPCOT’s newest projects. Check out the big milestone for both Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind and also Connections Cafe and Eatery.
Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind
The coaster, called Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind, takes place during Peter Quill’s visit to Epcot in the 1980s. So, get ready for plenty of throwback Epcot nostalgia. It’s up to riders to help the Guardians save the galaxy!
The ride will start in the “Galaxarium“, a planetarium-like structure. It showcases the similarities between Earth’s galaxy (the Milky Way) and the Guardians galaxy (Xandar).
Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind is set open Summer 2022.

We were also overjoyed to hear Walt Disney World’s president, Jeff Vahle, experience after he participated in a test ride of this amazing coaster. The completion of this attraction will be part of the huge transformation of EPCOT.
Connections Cafe and Eatery
Epcot’s new restaurant, Connections Cafe and Eatery, will be located in World Celebration location. It will sit just outside of Creations Shop, Epcot’s newly re-imagined flagship gift shop.
This dining location replaces the Electric Umbrella and will serve as a quick service dining location. This will be a great addition to EPCOT. We now have a sign that both Connections Cafe and Eatery and Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind are on track for opening soon.
Cast Member Recruitment
A few months prior to the opening of a dining location or attraction, Cast Members are recruited to fill these new positions. Transfer options are available for Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind starting on January 16, 2022.
Cast Member transfers for Connections Cafe and Eatery will begin on January 18. 2022. This new update gives us hope that Guests may begin enjoying this new attraction and dining location very soon.

At this time Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind has a broad opening date of Summer 2022.

Looking forward to Guardians of the Galaxy but the mention of the Creations Shop reminded me of how disappointed I was with this shop. My daughter and I went in after it opened and after a few minutes turned around and walked out. In my opinion not a good addition to Epcot. Sorry as know this is off subject.
