Head’s up, Disney Foodies! A new restaurant is heading to Walt Disney World!
D23 News!
Today, Josh D’amaro himself addressed the crowd of Disney fans at Destination D23. He proceeded to make announcements for what is to come for Disney parks around the world.
We are excited about all there is to come. I (Katie P) am particularly excited because part of it involves one of my favorite things, Disney Dining.
Epcot’s Reimagining
Anyone who has been to Epcot in recent years may have noticed that it is in a state of construction. In some cases, we have some serious deconstruction going on.
This is because Epcot is divided into new neighborhoods. These include World Celebration, World Nature, and World Discovery.
Today, Josh D’amaro let us know that World Celebration will be focused on connections and creativity. What a lovely combination of celebrations!
And part of that connections celebration includes a way for guests to connect over a plate of food. A new restaurant is on the way!
New Restaurant
Epcot’s new restaurant will be located in World Celebration. It will sit just outside of Creations Shop, Epcot’s newly re-imagined flagship gift shop.
The restaurant will be called Connections Café and Eatery. Josh D’amaro stated that, “It is going to be incredibly cool.”
It is a quick service restaurant, which is fantastic news if you do not want to have to grab ADR to experience it! I can’t wait to see what sort of options will be available!
Of course, the presence of a new eatery does pose a bit of a problem for those who are indecisive as Epcot already features some of Walt Disney World’s best quick service and table service meals. However, all things considered, this is a good problem to have.
There is no particular opening date as of yet. But, rest assured, the KtP Writing Crew will keep you up to date as information emerges.

I'd be a little more excited if I knew what type of menu they plan on. The last two years have been a little lackluster for me. I love trying different foods. Too many of the restaurants have gone middle of the road and/or plant-based (which often is more unhealthy than the"real" food.)
