The book is called Fairest of All: A Tale of the Wicked Queen. It is the first installment in author Serena Valentino’s Villains series.
Villains is a young adult series intended to give readers a glimpse into the backstories of some of Disney’s most infamous characters. According to Disney Parks Blog, the driving force behind the series is to illustrate that “evil is made, not born” (2020).
Fairest of All: A Tale of the Wicked Queen delves into the back story of the one and only Wicked Queen from Disney’s first full length animated feature Snow White.
The novel gives her a chance to narrate her backstory from her own perspective.
The backstory also investigates the mystery of the man in the magic mirror on the wall. If you are a fan of the Snow White story or of Disney villains in general, you are going to want to take advantage of the offer to grab this story for free.
