Disney is pulling out all of the stops to help us keep the magic alive as we stay safe at home. Next week, Disney adds to the magic by hosting The Disney Family Singalong, a one hour celebration of music, family, and all things Disney.
Disney announced today that ABC will host The Disney Family Singalong, a one-hour singalong event, on Thursday, April 16th from 8-9 PM EDT. Ryan Seacrest will host this magical special.
The Disney Family Singalong will feature celebrities and their families, taking on familiar Disney hits from their homes!
The show sounds reminiscent of the Singalong Videos from the 90’s, in that an animated character will guide the on-screen lyrics so that you can join the celebrities and sing along from home!
Songs will be featured from our most beloved Disney Classics, such as Beauty and the Beast, The Little Mermaid, and Toy Story. We’ll even hear songs from more recent films, such as Moana, Frozen, and High School Musical!
Karey Burke, president of ABC Entertainment, stated, “If there’s something that we’ve all learned in the past few weeks, it’s to cherish every moment and the importance of connection, whether through laughter, stories or music.
We hope that we can help create some new unforgettable moments in everyone’s home in a way that only the magic of Disney can.”

Besides the performances, the special will also air PSAs with talent from Walt Disney television to raise awareness about Feeding America, and their response to COVID-19. In the meantime, families needing help or resources are encouraged to visit FeedingAmerica.org.
