Disney's BoardWalk Inn Issues New Warning to Guests

Are you counting down the days until your next trip to Walt Disney World? If you have plans to stay at Disney's BoardWalk Inn, you will want to check out the current change.

Disney Resort Perks

Staying at a Disney Resort offers many great amenities, including transportation, early theme park entry, and proximity to the parks. Disney offers a variety of resort options to best fit each guest's needs and price points.

Resorts on or near Crescent Lake are some of the most popular places to stay. These include: Beach Club, Yacht Club, Boardwalk, Swan, Swan Reserve, and Dolphin. Each of these resorts is uniquely themed and gives guests impressive perks.

Guests can take a short walk to EPCOT. And you can take a little longer walk to Hollywood Studios or take a leisure boat ride to either park. Exiting the park at International Gateway and walking back after a long day in the park is amazing! No fighting crowds for the buses or monorail!

Disney's BoardWalk Inn Closures

Starting August 10, 2026, Disney's BoardWalk Inn Village Green Courtyard will close for a short refurbishment.

This will affect Guests hoping to enjoy activities such as Movie Under the Stars and outdoor yoga. These will move to other locations through September 4, 2026. Guests can find full information for these events in the resort lobby.

As a reminder, from January 11, 2027 through April 2027, the Luna Park Pool Crazy Play Area and Leaping Horse Libations will close for routine maintenance. The Villas Pool and the Inn Pool will remain open for Guests to enjoy.

2 Big Boardwalk Changes

Disney's Boardwalk will have 2 big changes this year. One of the most iconic locations for guests over 21 at the BoardWalk was Jellyrolls. Sadly, this dueling piano bar closed in 2025. Disney just announced that a brand-new lounge, Hurly-Burly, will open in this former Jellyrolls building.

Guests may see and hear work taking place during daytime hours.

We love the Basin stores located throughout Walt Disney World Resort, and now Basin will open a brand-new shopping experience at Disney's BoardWalk. Along with its great product line, Basin on the BoardWalk will offer brand-new interactive experiences.

Both of these new experiences are expected to open in late 2026.
