Disney World Closure Now Affects Guest Reservations

After making advanced reservations, Guests will now need to make changes as Walt Disney World just closed this unique experience.

Disney's Magnolia Golf Course just received a major refurbishment and fully reopened in March 2025. Now Disney plans a big refurbishment for Disney's Lake Buena Vista Golf Course.

This refurbishment will include:

Greens will be fully renovated with new contouring and elevation changes.
Updated green side bunkers and chipping areas to improve playability.
Irrigation systems will be upgraded around the greens to better maintain turf conditions in the surrounding chipping areas.
New bunker drainage will be installed across many bunkers to reduce water retention and speed up recovery after rain.
Enhancements will be made to several tee areas.

Disney's Lake Buena Vista Golf Course Closure

Disney plans to close Disney's Lake Buena Vista Golf Course in late spring. Disney has not announced an official closing date, but its reservations are no longer available on and after May 4, 2026.

Disney's Lake Buena Visit Golf Course will close late spring and will reopen early fall 2026.

Disney's Lake Buena Golf Course plans to reopen in "early fall 2026". Guests who have booked tee times at Disney's Lake Buena Vista in the coming months will need to cancel or select another golf course if reservations are available.
