UPDATE: TSA PreCheck At Orlando International Airport - Is It Open?
Many travelers were faced with a surprise this morning when TSA PreCheck operations were suspended at many airports across the country. Find out what you can expect when you head to the airport.
Orlando International Airport

Orlando International Airport (MCO for short) is a busy airport. Many people traveling to or from Disney World or Universal Orlando use this airport as it is only about a half hour away.
MCO is consistently listed in the top 10 busiest airports in the United States due to the number of travelers visiting Central Florida. At over 11,000 acres, it is also one of the largest airports as well.
At over 11,000 acres it is also one of the largest airports as well. MCO announced a multi-year refurbishment. This will include its Gate Link vehicles, tracks, and electrical control equipment. Check out how this will affect your next flight HERE.
TSA PreCheck Suspended

MCO along with other airports across the country have been impacted by the government shutdown. With the TSA PreCheck lines closed throughout the country, travelers experienced longer wait times for screenings.
This morning, the U.S. Department of Homeland Security suspended the TSA PreCheck program. Shortly after, the Transportation Security Administration shared that TSA PreCheck will remain operational. According to Associated Press, "TSA will evaluate on a case-by-case basis and adjust operations accordingly."
Travelers this morning reported that TSA PreCheck and Global Entry at Orlando International Airport were both closed this morning. You can read more about this suspension HERE.
TSA Pre-Check Remains Operational

Today, I (Heather) arrived at Orlando International Airport this afternoon and am happy to report that the TSA PreCheck was back open and welcoming travelers. You can see in the picture above that the TSA PreCheck is a 0-3 minute wait (this was at approximately 4:20 PM on February 22nd).
TSA PreCheck is operating as normal at Orlando International Airport.
TSA did share on X.com that courtesy escorts have been suspended. You can see the message below:
As TSA states TSA PreCheck availability will be on a case by case basis we recommending checking TSA wait times before heading to the airport. Also, be sure you have necessary ID for screenings, as a REAL ID is now required to avoid any fees.
