Warning: Orlando Airport Suspends TSA PreCheck
The Orlando International Airport is a very busy place to travel through. Some new changes are taking place that you need to know about!
Orlando International Airport

It is no secret that Orlando International Airport (also known as MCO) has only gotten busier over the past few years. It has been named one of the 10 busiest airports in the United States.
And it makes total sense! With Disney World, Universal, Legoland, Sea World, and so many other theme parks and attractions, millions of people fly in and out of the airport every year.
At over 11,000 acres it is also one of the largest airports as well. MCO announced a multi-year refurbishment. This will include its Gate Link vehicles, tracks, and electrical control equipment. Check out how this will affect your next flight HERE.
TSA PreCheck

MCO along with other airports across the country have been affected by the government shutdown. This greatly affected flights back in November.
This morning, the U.S. Department of Homeland Security suspended the TSA PreCheck program. Shortly after, the Transportation Security Administration shared that TSA PreCheck will remain operational. According to Associated Press, "TSA will evaluate on a case-by-case basis and adjust operations accordingly."
Guests visiting MCO this morning shared that both TSA PreCheck and Global Entry are both closed this morning.
MCO TSA PreCheck Suspension

The idea behind this suspension is to allow TSA agents to serve all guests. This will no doubt create longer lines for guests at select airports.
TSA PreCheck and Global Entry are suspended at MCO.
If you often use TSA PreCheck and Global Entry to enjoy shorter wait times, you will want to allow for additional travel time when flying.
