This is not looking good for travelers flying into the Orlando International Airport. Check out the current FAA order and see how many flights are now affected.
FAA Flight Cancellations

Orlando International Airport (MCO) anticipated the airport to continue with normal operations even with the government shutdown. Unfortunately, travelers experienced significant delays last week when MCO experienced an air traffic controller shortage.
The FAA released a list of 40 major airports that will be seeing a 10% in flight reduction. This could cut thousands of flights daily. To see all airports that were listed read HERE.
Yesterday, we shared that an official order had not been received by MCO, but that has now changed.
Orlando Airport Flight Order

This morning, MCO shared the following statement: "An Emergency Order by the Federal Aviation Administration identified Orlando International Airport as one of the 40 US airports to have flight reductions beginning today, in response to the federal government shutdown."
"Ultimately, this order maintains the highest level of safety. The reduction in flights is likely to affect travel plans."
According to FlightAware, there has been 56 flight delays and 29 flight cancellations for MCO as of 10:45 am on November 7, 2025.

According to WESH2, today, November 7, 2025, MCO will experience a 4% reduction of flights, with a 10% reduction of flights expected to begin next week. This is estimated to affect 100 flights per day.
An estimated 100 flights could be canceled per day starting next week.
One Disney fan shared that they arrived at MCO last night and received a notification that their flight next Tuesday was canceled. MCO suggests that passengers check directly with their airline for delays and cancellations.
