Disney World Issues New Travel Advisory
A new warning was just issued for all Walt Disney World Guests. Check out our tips to be prepared.
Disney World Warnings

Walt Disney World issues many warnings throughout the year to help keep Guests and Cast Members safe.
With a Theme Park located in Central Florida, most often the warnings we think of first are regarding hurricanes and tropical storms.
Over the past several months, we have shared warnings for high winds, fire bans, filming locations throughout the Disney Parks, attraction closures, and even the dreaded refurbishment of Cinderella Castle at Magic Kingdom.
Disney Cold Weather Warning

This week will be another chilly one at Walt Disney World. The National Weather Service issued an alert including Orange and Osceola counties for a cold weather advisory.
This cold weather watch begins at 3:00 am on Monday, February 23rd, through 9:00 am. Expected temperatures will be 35-39°, with wind chills making it feel like 27-30°.
Temperatures will rise in the day, but it will turn chilly at night for both Monday, February 23rd, and Tuesday, February 24th. The National Weather Service has issued a freeze watch on Monday night, February 23rd. Walt Disney World is still trying to recover many plants affected by earlier freeze warnings this season.
Cold Weather Travel Tips

Due to this cooler weather, Disney's Blizzard Beach will be closed tomorrow, February 23rd and Tuesday, February 24th. Disney's Blizzard Beach is expected to reopen on Wednesday, February 25, 2026.
Cold Weather Advisory issued for Walt Disney World Resort on February 23-24, 2026.
If you will be visiting Walt Disney World this week, pack cool-weather gear such as a heavy coat/gloves/hats/scarfs.
My (Donna) family likes to rent a large locker (available at all Parks) to store cooler weather gear when the temperatures get a little warmer. This keeps our hands free, and then we can still access our cool-weather gear when the sun sets and the temperatures drop.
Have you visited Walt Disney World in freezing temperatures? What are your best tips? Share your thoughts with us, and share this news with your Disney pals.
